Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The gang is in the basement discussing what they are going to do for Halloween. Eric mentions old Halloweens where he went trick-or-treating. Fez can't believe that people give out free candy. Kelso suggests they go see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Eric suggests they go to Old Maine, their old burned down boarded up elementary school, and tell ghost stories. They take Fez trick or treating with him dressed as Batman, go see the movie, and then arrive at the school. A windowpane falls down. Kelso pushes Jackie into Fez screaming "out of my way!" Jackie is upset with him, since he didn't try to protect her. Eric tells a ghost story that isn't scary, then telling another one. He says that nothing seems to scare him and his friends anymore.

Donna and Jackie came into the room holding their old permanent records which had survived the fire. Hyde reads that Donna had a problem keeping her clothes on in kindergarten. Kelso reads that Hyde was labeled as a troublemaker in second grade. Hyde finds out this is because he was accused of destroying Christine DelBueno's shoebox diorama of the four food groups. Hyde tells them he didn't do it. Eric reveals that he did. Hyde gets really mad at Eric, saying that because this was pinned on him, he was labeled and became a big troublemaker. Hyde reads Jackie's record and tells everyone her middle name, Beulah, much to everyone's ridicule. After reading his own file Kelso points out that he wore a superman costume to first grade. Eric realizes he must have repeated first grade because he met Kelso in first grade, and being a year older means he could have been buying everyone beer because he's 18, not 17 like the others. This causes everyone to be mad at Kelso, but Jackie sticks up for him. She reminds everyone that Eric backstabbed Hyde, and Donna mocks her middle name. Jackie then reveals Hyde kissed Donna last year (Ski Trip). Eric is upset at Hyde and also at Donna for not telling him. Donna then tells Kelso that Jackie says Fez is a better kisser than him (Garage Sale). Everyone starts fighting. Fez, wearing his batman costume, breaks them up, and helps them realize that the permanent records are tearing them apart. They all agree. They decide to bury the records and never speak of them again (except for Kelso's age, as it helps them get beer).

Red tells Kitty that he hates Halloween after she serves trick-or-treaters raisins, and they pelt their door with an egg. Kitty reminds him he used to love it. She reminds him of the party they threw when they first moved-in in 1957, which is shown in a a black and white flashback.

Red comes in partying with his friend Frank. Kitty gets a call telling her that she's pregnant. She tells Red that she's pregnant. His first words are "oh no!" and "crap". This upsets Kitty since her first words were "oh good" and "yay!" Red tells her that it was just a huge shock, and now that he's thought about it he's happy too. Frank comes in revealing a faster way to drink. Red sends him away, and tells Kitty that Frank is an "ass" and he's "dumb" leading him to create "dumbass!" They then kiss and the flashback ends. Red then goes chasing off some kids that egged the car.
