Hallberg-Rassy

Hallberg-Rassy AB (HR) is a famous international Swedish shipyard for producing exclusive sailing yachts.
The yard is located in Ellös on the island of Orust, Västra Götaland.
HR produces yachts for races and for cruising. The company was founded 1972, after merging the yards of Harry Hallberg and Christoph Rassy (b. 1934).
Since 1988, all designs are produced by the Argentinian engineer and yacht designer Germán Frers which has done 2.300 drawings for HR.
By now, 8,300 yachts have been produced by Hallberg-Rassy, currently 155 yachts per annum.
The company is owned by the Rassy family. Manager is Magnus Rassy.

HR hosts annual Hallberg-Rassy Regattas in Germany, in the UK, the Netherlands, in the USA (east and west coast) an in Italy (since 2004; Punta Ala).

2003, Hallberg-Rassy has been awarded with the "Sailboat of the Show award"" in Stockholm. In the same year, the American magazine American Cruising World Magazine has chosen the Hallberg-Rassy 43 as American Best Midsize Cruiser and Overall Cruising Boat of the Year.
