Halictus is a type of bee, also known as a Halictid Bee, of the family Halictidae, order Hymenoptera.

It has a brown appearance with four strong "apical" whitish abdominal bands and honey-yellow wing stigmata. The females show a vertical slot or furrow at the abdominal apex (tip).
