Half Step Down is a Rock and Roll band from India. They formed in late 2005 with Dhaval Mudgal and Anirudh Nair as the founding members. The band formed as a result of the successful combination of Dhaval Mudgal and Anirudh Nair from their college band.
The band's music is heavily influenced by greats like Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, Jimi Hendrix and others. The band has in recent times sought acclaim in the rock circuits of Delhi and India. With some of their songs like "Girl not Guitar" the band is proving its excellent potential.
The band bid goodbye to another asset after their last gig for the 11th Great Indian Rock Festival, namely Rohan Solomon who left the band due to his prior commitments to his other band Cyanide of which he is the lead vocalist as well as rhythm guitarist.
The band consists of:
- Dhaval Mudgal lead vocals
- Anirudh Nair Bass guitars
- Jishnu Bannerjee Lead guitar
- Srijan Mahajan Drums
- Shiv Lumba Piano, Keyboard
