Half-breed

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Half-breed is a term used to describe anyone who is half of one race and half of another. The term was once widely used to describe people of mixed Native American (especially North American) and white European parentage. The term is considered an impolite and offensive slur by many. Though the term "mutt" is considered much more offensive for it is referring to them as a dog. Half-breed is also a political term used during the Progressive era. Half-breed, politically, means one of a reformed mind. One of the Presidents during that time who was called a half-breed was Grover Cleveland.
