Haley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Haley is an English surname, a popular female given name and an occasional boy's name.

As one of many variations on the name Hayley,[1] "Haley" is derived from the Old English word hēġlēah, meaning "hay field". It was predominately gender neutral until it gained popularity as a girl's name following the 1960s child actress Hayley Mills, who was named after her mother's middle name.[2]
