Haji Ali Mohammad

Haji Ali Mohammad (b.?? - d. November 20041) introduced the first national branded drink to Pakistan and founded a major business group. His family came to be known as Pakolawala's, named for the drink Pakola. He was also known as a major memon philanthropist at the forefront of social service who contributed large sums of money for the establishment of several institutions. He was the President of the Pakistan Memon Educational and Welfare Society. Some of the family business interests are now managed by his son, Bashir Ali Mohammad.
