Haje Jan Kamps

Haje Jan Kamps (May 1981) is a Dutch photographer, writer and Journalist. He is best known for running the popular Photocritic photography blog, and for writing the book Macro Photography Photo Workshop

Born on May 21, 1981, Leiderdorp, South Holland to parents Hielke Kamps and Lizeth Rovers, Haje moved to Norway in 1988, and to the UK in 2001. In England, he studied Journalism, and started a stint working for different magazines. He currently works for Fast Car Magazine as their Online Editor.
In 2002, Haje started a website called Photocritic, which became extremely popular in December 2005, when it was featured on Slashdot1, and subsequently got heavy coverage on Digg2 and dozens of other large blogs. The blog continues to be popular.
In 2007, Haje wrote a book on Macro Photography for John Wiley & Sons publishing, entitled Macro Photography Photo Workshop. It is expected to go on sale in July this year (2007).
He currently works as the web editor for Fast Car Magazine
