Haikai no renga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Haikai no renga is a form of Japanese linked-verse poetry. It is usually a less serious form than the more formal and highly structured renga form. Although Matsuo Bashō is now best known for his haiku (formerly hokku—the opening stanza of a renga or haikai no renga), during his lifetime Bashō was known as a master of haikai no renga.
