[edit] License tagging for Image:Martyhogan.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Martyhogan.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kpatchen.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kpatchen.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Image:Bhagan.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bhagan.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 22:18, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Youngstown

Twelsht, kudos for all your work on Youngstown-related articles and especially Youngstown sports figures. I also like the new Mill Creek Park article. Very well done. Keep up the good work. Cheers! --Daysleeper47 15:27, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

I agree on the need for citations. I would like to move that article to a 'Good' or heck, even a 'Featured Article' status. I am happy to help where I can, but am currently working on a few fire department related articles (FDNY for one). Thanks! --Daysleeper47 19:07, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] IP Address

Twelsht, I see a lot of edits to your articles under the IP 75.19.120.3. Is this your IP? Just trying to track WP Youngstown users. Thanks --Daysleeper47 17:45, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jwilkins.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Jwilkins.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Youngstown, Ohio

I nominated Youngstown, Ohio for Good Article status, thanks in part to your work. Cheers, --Daysleeper47 19:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Some help, sir

Twelsht, an article within Wikipedia:WikiProject Fire Service, of which I am greatly involved, has been nominated for Good Article status. That nomination is currently on hold until the article receives some good copy editing. If you have some time, would you mind taking a look at 2006 Kolkata leather factory fire. You are an excellent copy editor from what I can tell from your edits to Youngstown. Your assistance is appreciated. Regards, Daysleeper47 19:44, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Peer Review

My recent nomination for Good Article status for Youngstown, Ohio passed! I have requested a Peer Review of the article in hopes of nominating it for Featured status in the near future. If you would like to contribute to the Peer Review Process, please go here Wikipedia:Peer review/Youngstown, Ohio. Your assistance is appreciated! --Daysleeper47 20:14, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Youngstown Ohio Works

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner; I've been away from Wikpedia for a bit. I just read over the article again, and it's definitely improved from when I requested the peer review. If someone doesn't respond to that pretty soon, I may just go ahead and nominate it for good article status. If I do, I'll let you know.--Djrobgordon 18:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Yompton page

I started List of mayors of Youngstown, Ohio but of course don't have access to the research materials you do since I live in Virginia. If you come across some names, feel free to populate this page. It is modeled after a page of the same name for Cleveland. --Daysleeper47 17:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
