[edit] 404 error in reference

I have tagged an external link used as a reference with a {{Verify source}} because it produces a 404 error ... assertions that cannot be verified are considered original research and may be deleted ... if an Administrator had removed that link, you would not have reverted it, so if you revert this tag as well, I'll just bring it to their attention. —72.75.85.159 (talk • contribs) 11:40, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the tag, i fixed the problem. You maybe already known this, but here it is anyhow: Wikipedia:Dead external links: "Please do not simply remove every dead link; they often contain valuable information.". --Striver - talk 13:06, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

And why don't YOU start using {{Bukhari}} instead of inserting/restoring explicit external links to archived copies of evaporated versions of hadith from Rafed.net?? (Or do you enjoy making more work for yourself and others?) If you had done it correctly the first time, there would be no need for anyone to fix a dead link.

And yes, I knew how to fix it, and I would have used the Bukhari Template instead of wasting time looking for an archived copy for the Rafed.net hadith page, but you did not make it clear which hadith you were citing, and as I've already stated on beau coup talk pages, when it comes to your stub articles, all I will do is flag them and move on, because I'm tired of cleaning up after you ... {{sofixit}}. --72.75.85.159 15:58, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
