Hadi

Hadi or Hadis is the name of the settlements of the people belonging to the Kuruba Gowda community. There are many different kinds of Hadis depending on the place of its presence. Hadis have now disappeared from most parts of Karnataka, but are still used by Kadu Kurubas and Jenu Kurubas. Each hadi consists of 15-20 small huts.
'Hadi' is also an Arabic name, meaning 'A Guide, or Leader'
