Talk:Hacker (folklore)

[edit] Wha/que?
1. I'm Swede. 2. I've never heard this before. 3. I'm going to investigate this matter. Rursus 10:22, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- As I use to do - I'm going to answer this myself:
-
- 1. I AM a Swede - I found a passport in my desk.
- 2.a. I looked up hackare in sv.wikipedia, and just found the meaning of what's in English is hackers.
- 2.b. I googled for hackare site:runeberg.org (0 hits) linked from hacker (folklore), hackare site:www.ststlocations.com (0 hits), hackare site:lysator.liu.se (80 hits, all about hackers), hackare site:www.morion.com (0 hits), hackare site:stud.hsh.no (0 hits) and finally hackare site:www.skola.kungalv.se from Scandinavian folklore. Nothing about vättar clones called hackare.
- 2.c. I looked it up in Svenska Akademins Ordlista (The Swedish Academy's Dictionary), and only found the conventional hackers meaning.
I'm in doubt about the correctness of this article. Qaþ: Rursus 10:57, 23 October 2006 (UTC).
The article is properly referenced, and your objection is not valid.--Berig 19:32, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
