Hacker (cheater)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A cheater in the hacking culture is someone who hacks into video games in order to cheat and win the game. Actual game hackers may change the game entirely. They may also do this in order to increase the dificulty of the game or create entirely different levels for example Doom WADs, but are usually referred to as Modder Mod (computer gaming).

[edit] Game Hackers
Game cheaters, or as many like to be called game Hackers, are often people who want more out of a game than the original game can offer them. Many of them often make minor changes such as changing the health bar, decreasing the enemies health limit or decreasing the amount of enemies in the game. These groups of people are known as cheaters and often do this for their own benefit. However gamers who increase the number of enemies drastically and change lighting and other things are known as hackers.
[edit] The mindset of a gaming hacker
The hackers in the gaming culture are often people who want things from the game that regular cheats can't give them; for example, one shot kills/long enemy clip loads or, in a less violent game such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, infinite flying fuel. These people are cheaters. Hackers, who generally have certain dissatisfactions with the way the game is made, would do the opposite, ie: reducing their quantity of flying fuel or giving twenty shot kills.
[edit] The difference between hackers and cheaters
A hacker makes the game more dificult and also makes brand new levels for games, customizes items found on the game and also builds new items for the game. A cheater is someone who hacks into the game and often changes the codes and in many cases also use computer programmes not made by themselves for "hacking" into games.
