Descendants of Empress Maria Theresia buried in the Kaisergruft in Vienna, showing relationships, life spans and tomb numbers as described in Imperial Crypt. The male line of the Habsburgs having died out with Maria Theresia's father Karl VI, through her marriage to Franz Stephen of Lorraine (Lothringen) the family became the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.
Note the role of Maria Karoline's(107) daughters in establishing the surviving senior lines of the dynasty by marrying their first cousins, the sons of her brother Leopold II(113).
Compiled by Stan Zegel, 2005.
The number before a person's name corresponds with that person's entry in the detailed listing of occupants of each Vault, to which it is hyperlinked. When necessary to establish continuity, a person buried elsewhere is assigned a number preceded by an x and then listed in the Selected Other Habsburgs section.
