Habu Yoshiharu (羽生善治, born September 27, 1970) is a professional shogi player.

Habu became a professional in 1985. He was promoted to 9 dan in 1994. He is widely known as the best shogi player currently and of all time due to his numerous title wins.He has won all 7 major titles in 1995 (the titles include Ryu-Oh, Meijin, Kisei, Ohi, Kioh, Ohza and Osho ) His teacher is Futakami Tatsuya. Habu is also one of the best chess players in Japan with ELO rating of 2404 (January 2007).
