Ha'ir (town)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ha'ir or Hayer (Arabic: الحائر or الحاير‎) is a small town lying south of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on the valley known as Wadi Hanifa. The Ha'ir dam serves the area, and the vegetation can be remarkably lush in the spring time. Migratory birds can be seen in the winter months. The area is also notable for the Ha'ir prison, the largest prison serving Riyadh.
