Ha!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ha! TV Comedy Network, owned by Viacom, was one of the first American all-comedy channels available to basic cable subscribers. Launched on April 1, 1990, it competed with, The Comedy Channel from the HBO unit of Time Warner. While The Comedy Channel (which was launched on November 15, 1989) broadcast mostly low-budget original programming, Ha!'s schedule featured sitcom and sketch comedy reruns (many of which had been previously licensed for sister network Nick at Nite).

The two networks merged to create Comedy Central, which began airing on April 1, 1991.
