Thring became a master at Uppingham. Was he releated to Edward Thring who was a famous headmaster there? Jooler 18:48, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

A quick Google provided the folllowing information.

  • A certain Rev. John Charles THRING (1824 - 1909) married a Lydia Eliza Dyer MEREDITH [1]
    • This site lists a son Charles Henry Meredith THRING with the dates - (1861 - 1913)
  • A certain Charles Henry Meredith Thring was a cricketer for the MCC and was born in Uppingham in 1861 and according to [2] and [3] died in 1939.
  • His uncle Theodore Thring also played for the MCC [4]
