Please give me a chance to reference this fully. Much of it was covered in a Havard Magazine article; let me get that and some other sources to verify the memoirs into this before tearing it up too much; but if you have good references and, especially, ISBN's on the books, please feel very free to put them in there. Hughes was too important not to have an article in Wikipedia when I see so many less notable persons who have an extensive one.Rlquall 02:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] This is as far as I'm going, please improve

This is about as far as I'm going to take this article for now; of course I'll improve it if something comes along that I learn and feel needs to be included. I hope that other editors will continue to improve this article with more references, more details, and more verifiable information. Prof. Hughes deserves a major article; he will remain influential in history and historiography well after most current video games, and Star Trek sequel episodes, have ceased to seem important.
