H2O is taking a long wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia after paying off remaining debts, probably mid 2007

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Here's some tips:

[edit] American Old West at the US Collaboration

Some time ago, you supported the nomination of American Old West at the COTW. I have now renominated it at the new US Collaboration. If you are still interested, you can support the article with your vote there!--Fenice 08:57, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dust storm

You'll probably be interested in the video I just found at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1120793438507203379 - Bevo 21:14, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm glad that you enjoyed the Iraq dust storm movie, and am thrilled that you'll be rooting for the 'horns on Wednesday! Hope your air clears up soon! You've probably seen in the news that we have had a lot of smoke in the air around here in DFW from grass fires aggravated by the drought. - Bevo 18:22, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
The Rose Bowl was great this year! I was a student at UT Austin the last time the 'Horns won a national title. I hope VY finds success somewhere in the NFL. - Bevo 13:39, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

I noticed you wrote a short article on wineries. I was wondering if you knew of any groups working to expand on the winery articles or maybe write article on diffrent regional wineries. If so I would appreciate you telling me how I could get in touch and help out. Thanks for your time --Cenestrad The Emperor of Wikipedia 03:38, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Charisma

But, it wasn't linked to that article on the movement. To be honest, it was also that the adjectives were just too bloody long for those articles (note that I also removed "Protestant" from a few articles as well). Say the guy is a televangelist and then cover the rest in the article. Daniel Quinlan 20:47, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Millipore - how did you do that?

Hello! First, when an article needs to be renamed, it should be moved to the new location, so that the edit history stays intact, instead of a copy-paste move. You can move pages by using the tab at the top of your screen; it should be next to "edit this page." If you can't move pages yet, don't worry; there is a slight time-lag delay between the creation of an account and the ability to move pages. In this particular case, because you had already copied and pasted the article to the new location, I deleted the new version to clear the way for the move; administrators can delete pages. After I did that, I moved the original article to the new location. The old title automatically becomes a redirect, but the syntax, for future reference, is "#REDIRECT [[Title you want to redirect to]]". Alternatively, you could also press the "#R" button in the edit bar; this will insert the syntax for you. I hope this helps; if you have any more questions, don't hesistate to ask me! Thanks! [edit] Common Nighthawk (Bullbat)

No apologies needed over your contributions to Common Nighthawk. Jim was just not aware that was a widespread common name for the species, and mistook your contribution for vandalism. I had heard the name too, but not, oddly, from growing up in Oklahoma, where the species is common. I have heard the name in North Carolina. Personally, I am a birder, and use the standard English names among other birders, but I feel the documentation of other names in use is an excellent idea. Thanks for the contribution. I added it back in, along with some references--it even showed up in the on-line edition of Encyclopedia Britannica. You've inspired me to go find a couple of more common names for North American birds and add them to articles. I have some good refernces on this.--Cotinis 13:18, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pemeability and infiltration articles

Added infiltration capacity, infiltration (hydrology), and permeability (soil science) to my to-do list. Looking for referenced sources. Any rain down there yet? Looked at a weather site, looks like continued dry in all of TX/OK today. -- Paleorthid 19:11, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

The above is part of the WikiProject Soil (started today) list of articles to collaborate on. Hopefully we'll do something Bold. -- Paleorthid 06:57, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
