Høvåg

Høvåg is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Vestre Moland in 1865. At that time Høvåg had a population of 2.069.

On 1 January 1964 Høvåg, then with 1.330 inhabitants, was incorporated into Lillesand municipality.

Villages in the Høvåg district include Gamle Hellesund, Brekkestø, Justøy and Ågerøy. The village Høvåg is located midway between Lillesand and Kristiansand.
