Héctor Mayagoitia Domínguez

Héctor Mayagoitia Domínguez (Victoria de Durango, Durango, January 7, 1923) He is a chemical bacteriologist and Mexican politician, pertaining to Institutional Revolutionary Party and that was Governor of Durango between 1974 and 1979 and Director of the National Polytechnic Institute.
Héctor Mayagoitia Domínguez is Chemical Bacteriologist of the National Polytechnic Institute, held diverse positions in he himself IPN and the Public Secretariat of Education between which they are Undersecretary of Public Education, Technical and Superior.
In 1974, he was nominated by PRI as candidate for Governor of Durango, he was elected and holding the position until 1979, less of a year before finishing his term after he was appointed as Director of the National Polytechnic Institute until 1982, in 1983 he was also named as Chief of a main directorate of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and in 1988, he was elected Senator representing Durango.
