From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hægeland is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.

It was created by the split from Øvrebø og Hægeland into Hægeland and Øvrebø on 1 July 1896. At that time Hægeland had a population of 843.

On 1 January 1964 Hægeland and most of Øvrebø were incorporated into Vennesla, a municipality which was seceded from Øvrebø og Hægeland already in 1861. Prior to the merger Hægeland had a population of 849.
