Gyrðir Elíasson

Gyrðir Elíasson is a leading "young" writer in Iceland. He was born in northern Iceland in 1961. He has written ten volumes of poetry and five books of prose. His style is called "highly personal" among other things.[1] He is also a translator with an interest in works about the Indigenous peoples of the Americas. He currently lives in Reykjavík with his wife and three children.
