Gyoda, Saitama

Gyōda (行田市; -shi) is a city located in Saitama, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 85,781 and a density of 1,393.68 persons per km². The total area is 61.55 km².
The city was founded on May 3, 1949.

A lot of people in Gyoda like Shimamura. They called "Shimamurarian" in saitama. They ware Kofun-picture painted T-Shurt. There is Mechiko Shuzo in Gyoda. It makes Sake from Rice.
Gyoda is also renowned for its "Zelli Furai" or Fried Jelly. This is a yummy local food (every Japanese town has a local special something) consisting of fried bean curd, carrots, onion, potato. There are 20 something shops which sell it around town, especially during the warmer seasons.
