György Ránki

György Ránki (November 30, 1907May 22, 1992) was a composer for various media. Ranki was a pupil of Zoltán Kodály. His works were influenced by folk and jazz elements. He was interested in ethnomusicology which is evident in his works; he often used authentic folk melodies. He was born in Budapest.
