Gwenno Pipette (born Gwenno Saunders on 23 May 1981) is a Welsh singer and keyboard player with the band The Pipettes. She normally stands centre stage.
Cardiff born Gwenno, daughter of noted Cornish language poet and linguist Tim Saunders, was a cast member of the Michael Flatley productions Lord Of The Dance and Feet of Flames in her teens, playing a lead role in a Las Vegas production of the former. In 2001 she had a role in the Welsh language soap opera Pobol Y Cwm on S4C, for whom she would later present the programme "Ydy Gwenno'n Gallu... ?"
In the years prior to her joining the Pipettes she had been a solo electropop singer, mostly in the Welsh and Cornish languages, releasing two solo EP's, Môr Hud [1] (released in 2002) and Vodya [2] (2004).
Gwenno joined the Pipettes in April 2005 after founder member Julia left. She is most notable for her lead vocals on the single "Pull Shapes" and the chorus of "Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me", as well as writing album track "A Winter's Sky". She has more recently posted solo material to her Myspace page, and it has been reported on the band's forum that she is planning a solo album release later this year.
