Gwangju Subway Line 1

Gwangju Subway Line 1 is a subway line in Gwangju, a metropolitan city in southwestern South Korea. It began operations in 2004, making Gwangju the fifth South Korean city with a subway. It is operated by the Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation. It runs between Sangmu Station and Nokdong Station. In the future, service will be extended to and beyond Gwangju Airport, with the line terminating at Pyeongdong Station.
