Gvardeysky District

Gvardeysky District (Russian: Гварде́йский райо́н) is a district (raion) of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. The district's administrative center is the town of Gvardeysk. District's population: 32,101 (2002 Census); 27,299 (1989 Census).

The district is situated in the center of the oblast, east of Kaliningrad, the administrative center of the oblast. It is among the more densely populated districts of the oblast.

Main rivers in the district are the Pregolya and its branch Deyma. Economy is centered around agriculture. The main railway line and road from Kaliningrad to Moscow pass through the district, parallel with the Pregolya.
