Guy Johnston

Guy Johnston is a British cellist. He won the BBC Young Musician of the Year award in 2000. He attended Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, and was the cello soloist on the first recording of Karl Jenkins', The Armed Man.

He is a member of the Aronowitz Ensemble, which has recently been invited into the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme, guaranteeing regular feature presentations on BBC Radio 3 and other media over a two year period.

Johnston grew up in Harpenden, near St Albans, Hertfordshire.

His cello is a rare 1820 Pellizon
