Guy Hever (born May 30, 1977) is an Israeli MIA who was long presumed dead since no group had ever claimed responsibility for his abduction.

Hever, a member of the Israel Defense Forces went missing from his post in the southern part of the Golan Heights on August 17, 1997. No trace of him has been uncovered, nor explanation for his disappearance been forthcoming.

On February 13, 2007, a Syrian organization calling itself "The Resistance Committees for the Release of the Golan Heights" claimed to be holding Hever.[1] The credibility of the statement is unclear since it's strange that a group would wait 10 years to claim they are holding someone prisoner.[2]

Army officials said the IDF was investigating the latest claim, although stated that this was not the first time that an organization claimed to have Hever in captivity.
