Guy Ecker

Guy Ecker (born Guy Frederick Ecker; February 9, 1959 in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil) is an Brazilian-born Mexican[citation needed] actor who became well known with his portrayal of Sebastian Vallejo in the Colombian telenovela, "Cafe Con Aroma de Mujer." He later portrayed Demetrio Azúnsolo, opposite Kate del Castillo in the Mexican telenovela "La mentira". He is also known for his role in "Salomé" alongside Edith González. In 2000, he married former Mexican model Estela Sainz. In 2006, he starred in the telenovela "Heridas de Amor" with Jacqueline Bracamontes. Ecker is also a Mexican citizen.

His breakthrough role came in "Cafe Con Aroma de Mujer" which was written by Fernando Gaitan who also wrote "Yo Soy Betty La Fea." ABC is now airing its version of "Yo Soy Betty La Fea" under the title "Ugly Betty."
