GUT chart

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GUT Chart is a German[citation needed] table that defines guidelines on how to prioritize tasks in order to achieve higher productivity. The chart provides simple 5 categories under which each task is assigned a value (multiple assignments are allowed) and at the end the task with the highest score gets performed.

Value (G)ravity (U)rgency (T)endency
5 Severe gravity Immediate action is needed If nothing is done the situation will get worse
4 Very serious Some urgency Will worsen a bit in a while
3 Serious The earliest possible Will worsen in the small run
2 Slightly serious It can wait a while Will worsen in the long run
1 Not serious There is no hurry Will not worsen, it could even improve
