[edit] Blue Moon Copyright violations
You added a comment about copright violations at the top of the Blue Moon (beer) article. Could you please use its discussion page to describe exactly what you believe is in violation so it can be removed?
Thanks,

[edit] Neighb'rhood Childr'n
The article List of bands from Oregon is up for deletion, and some of us are in the process of linking the bands in that list to Category:Oregon musical groups or Category:Oregon musicians. I saw you had added Neighb'rhood Childr'n to the list, and I thought they might merit an article. Do you know enough about them to write one? Katr67 18:46, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- I say go for it, if the Internet sources seem reputable. I just love the idea that a psychedelic band from *Medford*, of all places, (or perhaps Phoenix, if I read correctly) sort of made it.
The list got messed up because there was a blanket decision to delete all "List of bands from" articles and it was deleted without being tagged. So it got recreated as a shadow of its former self, then was deleted again. Recently it was restored in order to promote discussion prior to deletion. You might want to check through the history to see if there is anything else that ought to be saved (via an article and categorization) prior to deletion. Thanks for your input! [edit] thanks
Thanks for (your attempt) to do something constructive towards helping with the "bot problem". How file uploads are done at Wikipedia leads to many problems, including these clumsy bots. Even worse than the problems caused by the bots is when Wikipedians start making excuses for the failings of the bots rather than fix the problems. Even worse than that is when the Wikipedians who try to fix the problems are "blown off" and told that there is nothing that can be done about the problems...."you must suffer because this is the result of a bad situation that we cannot control". Such "social momentum" towards accepting the failings of systems is not unique to Wikipedia, but in an open community such as Wikipedia we do have a chance to set things right. I hope you are not discouraged from continuing to discuss the problems of Wikipedia and you keep looking for solutions to those problems and helping the community find ways to reach the solutions. --JWSchmidt 16:38, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Software etc logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Software etc logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Data collector
The way prod works is that after 5 days, admins go through and review the prodded articles and (usually) delete them. So there is no need to alert an admin or blank the page. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 10:45, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Just my job. :) Just so you know, I did delete the article. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 10:55, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your AfD nomination of Lana Lesley
Your nomination was malformed; I have fixed it. Read WP:AFD#How to list pages for deletion for more information. --N Shar 00:16, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Seconding this. I had to fix Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nick Penglase for you :-) --Wafulz 01:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How to properly AfD
Here are the most basic instructions:
1. Copy {{subst:afd}} into the article you believe should be deleted (you have done this correctly)
2. Create the page where you will talk about the deletion. (this is what you did wrong)
-
- When you created the page, you simply typed in the nomination (this was your mistake). You must use {{subst:afd2|pg=pagename|cat=category|text=reason for nomination}}. There is also an option called "Preloaded debate" on the {{afd}} template box, which I think you should use. It is very simple and explains very clearly what to do.

I have responded to your request for CVG assessment. My answer can be found here. --User:Krator (t c)
[edit] Regarding Gonzaga University..
I probably shouldn't have reverted your edit, but flagged it with the citation needed template. I know that's true, but we can't accept original research. I'm sure it can be sourced somehow, perhaps with the GU bulletin's website itself? -Wooty Woot? contribs 22:55, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Thanks for wikifying things
Thanks for your comments. I'm happy to help out with wikification and clearing out September 2006 is one of my goals as well. Soltak | Talk 21:57, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cheche Lazaro
Regarding Cheche Lazaro, I would prefer to have the article marked for cleaning rather than deletion. She's among the most veteran Filipino journalists and is the pioneer of investigative journalism in the Philippines. I guess all Filipino editors will recognize her. Thanks. — scorpion prinz 17:09, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dennis Day
Image was on left because of a basic design principle: when figure looks to right, designers position it on left. If put on right, they look off the page. If on left, image draws reader into copy. Pepso 21:35, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
