Guruvayur Satyagraha

Guruvayur Satyagraha took place in (1931 - 32) was a Satyagraha in Trichur in Travancore now part of Kerala seeking entry for untouchables into the Guruvayur Temple.It was led by K. Kelappan who undertook a fast unto death for 12 days however it was given up on a request from Mahatma Gandhi.While nothing took place immediately it led to the Temple Entry Proclamation in 1936[1][2]
