The Guruhi are a fictional legacy of vampires, native to Africa from White Wolf Game Studio's Vampire: The Masquerade books and role-playing games.

The oldest of the Legacies and founders of the Ebony Kingdom, the Guruhi are the defacto nobility of the Laibon, maintaining their individual kingdoms through a network of shrew alliances with the Shango and the Osebo. Their origins are unclear, and while they are more likely a far-distant offshoot of the Nosferatu clan than any other, they are so different from them that they may be a distinct lineage and a separate clan in their own right.

The rulership of the Guruhi has recently come under attack, the unified Xi Dundu challenge them on every front, claiming victory after victory over the fractious Guruhi. The younger generations chafe under the corrupt lordships and the world changes at an increasing pace, the stately progress of the Ebony Kingdom is coming to an end and only time will tell if the Guruhi are to survive the coming challenges.

[edit] Note

  • A Gehenna scenario implies they have their own Antediluvian related to the first Nosferatu.
