Guri Ingebrigtsen

Guri Helene Ingebrigtsen (born 1952) is a Norwegian physician and politician. In the 1970s she was a member of the leftist Workers' Communist Party (AKP). In 1986, she worked in Afghanistan, giving medical aid. Currently a member of the social democrat Norwegian Labor Party (DNA), she was political advisor to the Norwegian Minister of Health and Social Affairs (social affairs) in 1996 and 1996-1997, and Minister of the same department 2000-2001 in the first cabinet Stoltenberg. She is now the mayor of Vestvågøy.
