Gunma (群馬町; -machi) was a town located in Gunma District, Gunma, Japan.

It was incorporated with Takasaki, together with Shin, Misato and Kurabuchi on 23 January, 2006.

As of 2005, the town has an estimated population of 36,569 and a density of 1,666.77 persons per km². The total area is 21.94 km².

Gunma is located in the centre of Gunma Prefecture, and on a gentle slope between the foot of southeast Mt. Haruna and Maebashi plateau.

Gunma's twin city is Muntinlupa, Philippines.

Although Jōetsu Shinkansen passes this town, there's no station.

Also, Kan-etsu Expressway passes in the town, but there's no interchange(the nearest one is Maebashi IC).
