Gunka

Gunka (軍歌) is the Japanese term for "war music." It applies both to Japanese songs and foreign songs such as the "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
Up until the surrender of the wartime Japanese government in 1945, gunka was taught in Japanese schools to inspire patriotism and rally children against Japan's enemies.
