There were a total of 4,326 students enrolled in the Gulfport School District during the 2005-2006 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 49% female and 51% male. The racial makeup of the district was 53% African American, 44% White, 2% Hispanic, 1% Asian and less than 1% Native American.[1]
