Gulf Tower

Gulf Tower is one of the major distinctive and recognizable features of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania skyline. The tower is named for the Gulf Oil Corporation, which before performing the world's largest merger (up to that time) in 1984 with Chevron was one of the leading multi-national oil companies, consistently ranking among the largest 10 corporations in the country.
Gulf Oil Tower was completed in 1932 and has 44 floors. It rises 582 feet or 177 meters above Downtown Pittsburgh. Its address is 707 Grant Street and it is part of the Grant Street Power Strip in Pittsburgh.
