Gulf Coast Exploreum

The Gulf Coast Exploreum is a non-profit science center located in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The Exploreum houses the only domed IMAX Theater on the Gulf Coast, the only full-scale chemistry lab where visitors can participate in experiments, and the only 3-D virtual theater.
The Exploreum is home to three permanent exhibits, Minds-On Hall, Hands-On Hall, and the Wharf of Wonder. There is also an exhibit hall that hosts a traveling exhibit. Past traveling exhibits include the Dead Sea Scrolls in 2005 and "Mummy: The Inside Story" in 2006. In 2007, the Exploreum will host the exhibit "A Day in Pompeii".
