Guin Saga

Guin Saga is the title of a famous Japanese heroic fantasy novel series by author Kaoru Kurimoto, in continuous publication since 1979. A record 100 volumes were originally planned, but as of 2007 the total stands at 111 volumes. [1] American publisher Vertical has released the first four volumes, translated into English by known game translator Alexander O. Smith.
The story concerns a mysterious, leopard-headed warrior named Guin, whose epic quest to recover his lost memory and identity spans multiple continents.
Noted Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano has created many pieces of original art for the series, including covers and interior illustrations.
Berserk creator Kentaro Miura has stated that Guin Saga was a large influence on his work. [2]
