The Guerrilla Mediation Network

This initiative is now operational. We are accepting cases submitted via the procedure below, and requests will be responded to within 24-48 hours. However, we really do need more mediators - if you think you could help, please let User:NicholasTurnbull know, who will help you with how to get started. Thank you for your support!

The Guerrilla Mediation Network is a system for getting informal mediators to quickly help out with Wikipedia disputes, whilst the conflict remains small and easily contained. This means that the dispute can be dealt with before it grows to a point that it needs major intervention.

Use guerrilla mediation as early as possible in disputes, as you come across them.

[edit] Instructions

Add this template to the talk page of the article:

{{guerrilla-mediation-request}}

followed by a description of:

  • what the current problem is
  • who the people involved in the problem are
  • what you'd like the outcome of mediation to be

We regret that requests that are incomplete, incoherent, or excessively long (more than 500 words) will be rejected.

[edit] About this system

There's no list of mediators, because this initiative is decentralised. All reports are placed under Category:Guerrilla mediation cases, which is where mediators take cases from.
