Talk:GUBU
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am not so sure if GUBU refers to Grotesque, Unbelievable, Bizarre and Unprecedented or Grotesque, Unbelievable, Bizarre, Unprecedented; certainly most sources refer to it been the former, with the word "and". Can anyone clarify? Djegan 18:39, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MacArthur
Wouldn't it be worth having an article entitled Malcolm MacArthur, instead of just a redirect?--Dub8lad1 23:06, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- If enough material can be found why not - certainly he was unusual. Djegan 17:54, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- Probably still is, in fact! I'll see about finding more information about him and the case.--Dub8lad1 23:23, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I know this thread is old but I really agree that Malcom Macarthur should have his own article. If anything, the GUBU article should be redirected to the Malcom Macarthur page 14:45, 3 January 2007 (UTC) Siofra 14:45, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] John Banville
Does anybody know if Banville was inspired by this story when he wrote "The Book Of Evidence"? There seem to be quite a few similarities.82.3.79.106 18:08, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
I always thought it was inspired by Macarthur and there are some references to that if you google for John Banville, Book of Evidence, Malcolm Macarthur Siofra 14:44, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
