Guaram I of Iberia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Guaram I was a presiding prince and kourapalates of Iberia/Kartli for the Byzantine Emperor from 588 to c. 590. Although he is reported by the medieval Georgian annals to be the first of the Bagrationi Dynasty, many modern scholars argue this claim, referring to Guaram and his successors as the Guaramids.
