[edit] TOWARDS A BETTER WIKIPEDIA: Exposing a Hate Group whose members appear in rotation for the purpose of adding defamatory, negative and/or questionable material to articles about Prem Rawat.

Since June 2004, members of the internet based Ex-Premie Group have used Wikipedia to disseminate information about Prem Rawat and his students that is out-of-date, often false and misleading, and designed to create a negative impression.

Andries, for example, repeatedly attempted to have included in the article on Prem Rawat material written by a former member of the Ex-Premie group, Australian journalist John Macgregor, even though he must have been aware that Macgregor had refuted his own articles in April 2005, apologized for writing them, and asked to have them removed from the Ex-Premie.org web site. The web master of the site, John Brauns, refuses to grant Macgregor's request.

In an affidavit dated April 27, 2005, Macgregor states in part: "Because of my skills as a writer, and my media connections, I was supported by the Group to publish articles that furthered the goals of defaming Rawat and his students, annoying his students, dissuading persons from learning more about Knowledge, and to use whatever means I could to use the media to publish articles with that goal.

Based on no factual evidence, I arranged to publish in two Australian print media publications articles that Rawat and / or the volunteer entities were cult-like or involved in illegal or immoral activities. These implications are absolutely false and unfounded.

I found that the more vitriolic and defamatory my writings about Rawat were, the more support and comfort I received from the Ex-premie Group. Because I craved this attention and validation, I sought to have published further similar articles."

About members of the Ex-premie Group, Macgregor states:

"In retrospect, I am of the opinion that many of these persons are irrational, obsessed, and motivated by ill-directed anger. I have reviewed the statements about Rawat, his students, the volunteer entities posted on the Ex-premie Group's web sites and find that when they purport to report on factual matters, they are frequently false and defamatory, unsupported by factual bases, and motivated in many instances by hatred, ill will and spite."

Macgregor's affidavit is available at http://www.elanvital.org/faq/JMG_AFFIDAVIT.pdf

Numerous examples of harassing activities and threats by members of the Ex-premie group along with supporting evidence are available at: http://www.one-reality.net/harassment.htm Examples of harassment include:

  • Work place harassment
  • An illegal spam email harassment campaign
  • Bogus reports to Government regulatory bodies
  • Attempts to have events canceled
  • Attempts to have contracted business canceled

Members of the Ex-Premie Group have published on the internet numerous examples of HATE SPEECH and support for hate speech. For example:

"Hell yeah I hate him!...Is there a way to join a web site where the sole purpose is to find a way to kill Rawat?" Bill Bourke, May 13, 2004

" I hate premies -- and why not? Look at them" Jim Heller, Feb 22, 2000

( "Premie" is an Indian term formerly used in reference to Mr Rawat's students.)

"I am coming to Amaroo you mongrel and am going to ruin your f#cking plans you shit head...Better put yourself in a glass box like that other poofta the pope." Salam, Feb 27, 2001

Many other examples are available at: http://www.one-reality.net/hate_speech1.htm

Members of the Group have posted thousands of pages of criticism about Prem Rawat in their internet chat rooms. Dawn Heron, MD, University of Florida, Gainesville, has identified incessant posting in chat rooms as emotional disorder. See Time To Log Off: New Diagnostic Criteria For Problematic Internet Use, published in Current Psychology, April 2003.

Quite justifiably, many people regard the Ex-Premie Group as a hate group. Their activities, including their repeated and on-going use and attempted use of Wikipedia to disseminate questionable, disputed and potentially defamatory material cannot be regarded as commensurate with the aims of a reputable encyclopedia. I therefore ask Wikipedia to revoke the user privileges of any person associated with the Ex-Premie Group to the extent that they not be allowed to contribute to articles about Prem Rawat, his students or organizations supporting his work. This includes the most recent Ex-Premie contributor to these discussions, Tgubler, who has a long history of involvement with the group. His involvement has included obtaining Elan Vital documents illegally. In court proceedings that ensued, he was described by the judge as having a "credibility handicap." [edit] Formal notice

You are named in a request for Wikipedia Arbitration [[1]] Nik Wright2 10:06, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

REPLY With regard to the formal notice above: I have not contributed to Wikipedia discussion pages nor checked into my user page since late 2006 and was, therefore, unaware of the request for arbitration. The request for arbitration appears to have been generated by Nik Wright2, who claims on his user page that he has been defamed in an affidavit, and that this web site includes a link to the affidavit. I have reviewed the contents of the affidavit. It makes no mention of the name "Nik Wright2". --Gstaker 15:17, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
