The show takes place in a fantasy-styled woodland marsh that features many wonderous areas and places.

[edit] Characters

These are the main characters of Groundling Marsh. This list may be incomplete.

  • Galileo; an adventurous, dark skinned boy (presumably a Native) that explores the marsh constantly. Arguably, he is the main character of the show, as he appears the most. Galileo is good friends with all of the groundlings (the inhabitants of the marsh), and even "built" one of them (Stacks).
  • Eco; a wise, grandmotherly type "queen" of the marsh. All of the groundlings go to her for help and questions, and she acts as a mentor and teacher, rebuking the groundlings when need be. It is not clear whether Eco is either a groundling or not.
  • Hegdish; a cynical, pessimistic, sarcastic dog/wolf-like character. Hegdish is the show's antagonist, constantly trying to mess up the plans of the groundlings, and basically cause trouble. Hegdish was also fucking wicked. He introduced himself as "Hegdish. Heg as in Heg, and Dish as in Dish." He totally kicked ass and he would've banged Eco if the show went on long enough.
  • Mud/Slinger; a two headed creature that is coming up with new inventions all the time.
