A little about me: I was born and raised in San Francisco, California, and still live there (in the Western Addition, to be exact). Except for a time in Nicaragua, I have lived my entire life in San Francisco. My major interests are African-American history, jazz, the American civil rights movement, San Francisco and California poets, and California history and politics. I haunt Wikipedia in part to find new interests.I am a college professor and also own a small business (selling records -- whoops, I mean CDs).
I edited many articles on Wikipedia and initiated the articles listed below in the years 2005-2007. I am quitting Wikipedia. The standards have fallen, I believe, and I don't care to be a part of it anymore. Griot 17:22, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
